Utilization of Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Bottom Ash as Fine Aggregate of Cement Mortars

چکیده
Incineration bottom ash is generated by the incineration of solid waste. Household waste increasing every year and so ash. This a problem to treat because has many toxic components. Cement composites can solve this there are studies for using as fine aggregate. To evaluate usage ash, compressive strength, mercury intrusion porosimetry, scanning electron microscopy-backscatter electron, X-ray diffraction, toxicity characteristic leaching processes were performed. When up 20% substitution, strength in all cases was increased. study showed how filler effect appeared well cement through porosimetry. diffraction indicated possibility an alkali-silica reaction aggregate with components obstacle applying In addition, process shown be under threshold Korean standard, however, should nuanced consideration amorphity. Comprehensively, could used substitution. However, pre-treatment would need eliminate or reduce alkali reactive heavy metals.

Distribution of Chloride in Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Bottom Ash
Chloride content is a critical problem for the reuse of incineration bottom ash as raw material in cement. The effect of dechlorination procedure largely depends on the existence form of the chlorides. However, limited information about the distribution and identity of chlorides in bottom ash can be obtained by bulk analysis methods. In this paper, the investigation towards a more comprehensive...

Municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash : Physicochemical characterization of organic matter
The aim of this work was to characterize the initial organic content of a selected municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) bottom ash. This was realized by elemental carbon analysis using pyroanalysis of untreated samples. In addition, MSWI bottom ash extracts obtained by supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) or hot solvent extraction (Soxtec), were analyzed using gas chromatography (GC) coupl...
متن کاملFull Scale Tests of Short-Term Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Bottom Ash Weathering Before Landfill Disposal
Problem statement: Natural weathering is the most economic method of treatment in order to reduce the release of heavy metals present in the residue. Approach: The aim of the study was to optimize the minimum weathering times that were useful to reduce the lead release to within the Italian limits for landfill disposal. The mechanism of short-term weathering of MSWI bottom ash had been studied ...
متن کاملMunicipal Solid Waste Incineration Bottom Ash: Characterization and Kinetic Studies of Organic Matter
Bottom ash is the main solid residue (in weight) which is produced by municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) facilities. To be reused in public works, it has to be stored previously a few months. This material is composed primarily of a mineral matrix but also contains unburnt organic matter. The mineral content and its change in the course of aging are relatively well-known, in contrast wit...
